Located in Rhode Island, The Polka Dot Panda was founded in 2006 shortly after the birth of my second child. After working as a property manager for many years, I decided to leave my career to stay home with my children. With a love of sewing and crafts, I started marketing and selling handmade children’s apparel and crafts from home. Shortly thereafter, I joined efforts with another stay-at-home mom to create personalized nursery décor and jewelry designs. Local freelance artists and seamstresses have also helped in designing/creating handpainted room décor, wall art, piggy banks and custom projects. The majority of Polka Dot Panda products are handmade and personalized, so all items are unique. We continuously research children’s fashion trends and are inspired by European designs and, of course, the latest and greatest from Hollywood. Because we also welcome custom orders, our design portfolio includes a multitude of items that were designed by our customers. Due to our passion for our Polka Dot Panda personalized products line, positive feedback from customers and a desire to add more items to our designer product line, our website www.polkadotpanda.com launched in spring 2008. Additionally, we have sought out expansion ventures and offer our Polka Dot Panda produsts at craft/baby fairs and retail boutiques. We now also offer Mud Pie gifts, Rare Editions Apparel and many new additions to our Polka Dot Panda boutique label. During 2008, we’re excited to roll out other brands including Lelli Kelly shoes, Baby Lulu, Crocs and Baby Togs.
